Our sheep are Suffolk sheep. Suffolk is a breed that originated from the UK and is generally regarded as very good to cross with. It is a handsome breed that is quite sturdy. We chose Suffolk because this is a breed with characterized in that they are easy to handle, easier births and they are good mothers. They also have a good meat quality with a good fat layer. A big advantage is that you have a good fatlayer and putting fat very late, which benefits the quality of the meat.We have about 10 ewes and a male and we are hoping for lambs this spring. Some of them are going to stay, some of them will be for sale. Sometimes we also have meat for sale.Our sheep are free from diseases such as Maedi-Visna and Hoof-rot.
