In 2009 we bought Doris as a friend for Pien. Although Pien did not like to share us with Doris, Doris was not scared off so easily and soon they were good friends. Meant to be Janneke’s next freestyle star, Doris had other plans and from the beginning she favoured Cor as her owner. Doris and Cor make a great team training agility and (blood)tracking. Doris loves herding sheep and she also helps bringing in the horses! Doris loves the outdoors, especially snow. At home she likes to sit outside in the garden and keeping an eye on the surroundings. Outside a active dog who is always ready to work for you or play with you, inside Doris is a very sweet quiet dog and likes to lay flat out on the floor or keep you company in the kitchen. In October 2020 we had to let go of our Doris after she was diagnosed with a big cancer growth inside her heart. She was put l asleep in our arms at home, with the other dogs by her side. Thank you, sweet Doris, for the way you changed our lives forever. Sweet Doris, who taught us so much about dog training, she who took us into the dog competition world. Into breeding Cardigans, she gave us beautifull puppies, she gave us our Bliss and took us further than we could ever dream of As a puppy she was the cause of some of my gray hair, but because of her we got to share so much joy and learning, we made trips to places we would never have visited otherwise. And met people we would never have met otherwise. Sweet dreams sweet Doris. Thank you for everything. We will meet again. |
